Pitman High claimed the tournament title at the inaugural Dragon Duals on Saturday as its wrestlers helped the Pride finish 5-0 with victories over Sir Francis Drake, Marysville, El Camino, Lindhurst, and McCLatchy High.

As part of the 12 team tournament, Pitman hit the five-mat contest at Sacramento High School by storm as grapplers like Colby Lankford, Quentin Hernandez, Trevor Mattox, Lorenzo Lewis, and Logan Wolfley each put in impressive individual performances by beating section ranked opponents.

Saturday’s performance, coupled with a previous second place finish at the Dec. 21 Marty Manges Invitational, has Pride head coach Adam Vasconcellos feeling confident that his team is ready for their trial-by-fire matchup with Golden Valley High in tonight’s Central California Conference opening dual.
