Ripon was that team which beat them in one set, but they are currently 9-2 in league, trailing just Hilmar.

Hilmar, which has clinched the Trans Valley League title already, earned a berth to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division-IV playoffs.

Hilmar closes out the year on the road at Livingston at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Turlock and Pitman High varsity boys water polo keep on winning

Since Turlock High varsity boys water polo defeated Pitman in their first meeting of the year, both have just continued to win games.

Turlock’s win streak is currently at nine games.

Their last loss came at the hands of Buhach Colony, 5-4, back on Sept. 17.

The most recent win for Turlock came on Monday in a 13-9 victory over Modesto High, to remain undefeated in league at 8-0.

Trailing Turlock is Pitman, which is currently 7-1 in league play and have won three consecutive, including 10 of the last 11 games.

Pitman recently toppled Downey on the road in a 14-4 victory on Monday and with just two games left, they must win out in order to possibly contend for a tiebreaker for a league title with Turlock in the season finale.

Pitman will next take on Enochs on the road at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
