Turlock FC soccer club wins Norcal playoffs

The Turlock FC, United U/11 boys team recently competed in and won the 2012 Norcal Premier Soccer League, Spring Cross Regional play off.  The team is coached by Vicente Mejia and is made up of local boys from the Modesto, Ceres, Turlock and surrounding areas.  

The Regional play off was held June 9-10 in Davis. To qualify for the play off, United had to win the Region 6, 7, 8 (South) Norcal spring league for their region which they did by leading their 11 team division with 8 wins and 2 losses.

In the Norcal Cross Regional play off event, United won their quarter final 2-1 against Atletico Santa Rosa, then defeated Castro Valley 2-1 in the semi final and continued on throughout the competition with a strong finish to win the U/11 divisional championship game by a score of 3-1 against Monterey County Futbol Club.  The Cross Regional play off was sponsored by the Norcal Premier Soccer league and was host to many of the top girls and boys teams in Northern California.
