Art exhibit
600 Pomegranates

The First Street Gallery and Frame Company in Turlock is hosting the exhibit “Varying Views,” featuring the works of Central Valley artists Katherine Crinklaw and Marilyn Rose.

Both artists are inspired by similar subjects such as landscapes and still life’s, but their approach to their art varies, hence the name of the show.

Crinklaw works primarily in watercolor and acrylic paint to create a contemporary and abstract view of life. Rose works with oil paint and is influenced by the great painters of the past when depicting her subjects.

The free exhibit will be at the gallery through Feb. 5. The gallery, located at 226 N. First Street, is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
