The Carnegie Arts Center and the Central California Art Association's Mistlin Gallery in Modesto are joining together to present the Central California Art Showcase.

The event will be a showcase of new artistic works in a variety of mediums. It will be on display at both galleries from April 2 through May 11.

The judges for the 2014 Showcase will be Oakland resident and curator Phillip Linhares, artist and curator Debra Neese Lehane of Glen Ellen in Sonoma County, and sculptor John Toki of Berkeley.

"We're really excited to have such a diverse, talented, and experienced group of judges," said Marianne Ward of the Central California Art Association.

An artists’ reception, including the presentation of awards, will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 4 concurrently at both galleries.

Gallery hours at the Carnegie are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Hours at Mistlin are 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
