While dancers of On Your Toes dance studio in Hilmar will be performing at their annual recital this weekend, a select group of performers are also set to hit the stage on Broadway in New York City come July and eventually Paris in 2017.

"This special group of some of my best dancers performed in Disneyland for Dance The Magic, a production company that choreographs dance productions for Disney related venues.  After that performance, they invited our group to perform in their production in July on Broadway and their production at Disneyland in Paris in 2017," explained On Your Toes owner Nicole Gordon-Couto.

When the curtain falls at the end of this weekend's sold-out recital, Gordon-Couto will celebrate her third successful year of On Your Toes. Noting her surprise and gratitude at the growth of the studio, more classes have continually been added and dancers have continued to join since the studio's inception, something Gordon-Couto attributes to supportive dance parents and word of mouth. 

"I am awed and inspired by the support the community has shown me and my dance studio," said Gordon-Couto. "I want to continue to provide quality dance instruction that will make the parents and community proud when they see my dancers perform."

The select group of dancers will also be undoubtedly proud to perform three of On Your Toes' routines on the same Broadway stage where Aladdin is performed. Come 2017, the dancers will hit the streets as they will showcase their moves in the Disneyland Park in Paris.

"These dancers practiced many hours together to perfect their performances. I am truly honored that our hard work was recognized," said Gordon-Couto.

Dancers from the age of two to adults can take dance classes at On Your Toes dance studio which include ballet, point, lyrical, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and baton twirling. On Your Toes is located at 7940 North Lander Avenue in Hilmar.
