Peter Pan takes flight with YES Company

Stanislaus County Office of Education’s YES Company is bringing the classic musical “Peter Pan” to the Gallo Center for the Arts for a two week run.

Based on J.M. Barrie's classic production, “Peter Pan” is a beloved tale following the adventure of Wendy, Michael and John as they join Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and the Lost Boys on Neverland. In the adventure, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce Indian tribe, a band of bungling pirates, and of course the villainous Captain Hook.  The production features the iconic songs "I'm Flying," "I've Gotta Crow," "I Won't Grow Up," and "Never Never Land."

This year, cast members from 44 Stanislaus County schools are represented in the production. This group of dedicated students commit to a rigorous summer schedule that culminates in a fully realized production. Their training includes intensive theatrical and musical immersion, teambuilding, and fitness.

Shows are set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and July 24 and 25 and 3 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and July 26 and 27. All shows are at the Gallo Center for the Arts.

Tickets range from $12 to $45. Tickets are now on sale at the Gallo Center for the Arts box office and online at www.galloarts.org.
