Three Dog Night plans one night for fair

The line-up of entertainment for the 2014 Stanislaus County Fair continues to take shape as Three Dog Night becomes the latest band to sign on for a show.

Three Dog Night will perform at 8:30 p.m. July 18 on the Bud Light Variety Free Stage. The concert will be free with the price of fair admission.

Three Dog Night had 21 consecutive Top 40 hits, including three #1 singles, 11 Top 10’s, 18 straight Top 20’s, 7 million selling singles and 12 straight Recording Industry Association of America Certified Gold LPs. Their hits appeared on best selling charts in pop, rock and country.

They are best known for their hits “Mama Told Me Not to Come” and “Joy to the World.”

Since 1986, they have performed over 2,200 shows including two Super Bowls.

“Three Dog Night has been touring for more than 40 years,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “In that time they have attracted fans of all ages, and we are excited to have them perform at the fair.”
