Accident victim identified

The 70-year-old Turlock man who was struck and killed while walking in a crosswalk Tuesday night in Turlock has been identified as Charles Arnold by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
Arnold died Tuesday night after he was rushed to a hospital. He had been hit by a Honda Pilot while crossing Olive Avenue at Wayside Drive.
The driver of the Honda, Paulette Field, 44, of Modesto was not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, according to the police department. Lt. Ron Reid said she has not been issued a citation as of yet and that the investigation is ongoing.
