Investigators suspect vandals were behind a fire that charred a delivery van belonging to the Turlock Unified School District.

At 10 p.m. Friday the Turlock Fire Department was notified of a vehicle fire in a secured parking lot at 1441 Colorado Avenue. The vehicle is used by TUSD’s Child Nutrition Department.

Two engine companies and one battalion chief responded to the fire and remained at the scene for about two hours.

The fire department stated that most of the damage was in the interior of the van.

The fire was deemed suspicious and is under investigation.
