The Turlock Police Department will be conducting a sobriety/driver’s license checkpoint in Turlock during the evening hours on Friday. Drivers will be required to present their drivers license and seat belt compliance will be checked.
The Turlock Police Department received a Traffic Safety Grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety. The purpose of the grant is to educate the public on drinking and driving, and to target those who continue to drive with a suspended or revoked driver’s license in order to reduce traffic collisions.  Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The grant amount was $476,554.70.
