Early morning shooting in Turlock leads to one fatality

The Turlock Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting of an as yet unidentified man.

Around 1 a.m. Wednesday the police department’s dispatch received a call reporting a man had been shot in the 4300 block of Cherry Blossom Lane.

“Officers arrived on scene and immediately began investigating the incident,” said police department spokesman Sgt. Mike Parmley. “The suspect(s) had left the scene prior to our arrival.”

The victim is a Hispanic male adult who sustained at least one fatal gunshot wound, Parmley said. He has not been positively identified at this time.

“Detectives are actively investigating this case and are working on leads discovered in their preliminary investigation,” Parmley said.
