A collision between a motorcyclist and a truck Tuesday afternoon in Ballico resulted in the death of a Turlock man.

The name of the deceased has not been released pending next of kin notification. The California Highway patrol said the deceased was a 56-year-old man from Turlock.

The collision happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday in the area of El Capitan Way and Santa Fe Drive in Ballico.

The motorcyclist was attempting to pass a sewage truck but as he maneuvered around, the truck made a left turn, striking the man, according to the CHP.

The man died at the scene of the collision.

The truck driver, identified as Travis Borrelli, 37, of Turlock was not injured.

The collision remains under investigation.
