Headless chicken found on railroad tracks

Most everyone knows why the chicken crossed the road, but why did a decapitated chicken wind up in a plastic bag on the railroad tracks?

That is the mystery around a suspicious incident the Turlock Police Department investigated Friday.

At 8:31 p.m. a caller reported seeing a plastic bag set atop the railroad tracks near W. Taylor Road.

When the bag was inspected it was found to contain a decapitated chicken and a full set of clothing and boots. All of the clothing and the boots had been purposefully cut up, according to the police report. The area around the tracks and Taylor Court were searched, but nothing else unusual was found.
