Hearing set for next year in fatal shooting

A preliminary hearing for accused killer Gabriel Miranda has been postponed until mid next year.

Miranda is accused of gunning down Simon White during a drive-by shooting in Turlock in May 2012.

Scheduling conflicts with Miranda’s defense attorney Frank Carson and the district attorney’s office caused the preliminary hearing to be set for June 3, 2014.

Miranda remains in custody at the Stanislaus County Jail without bail.
