Hit and run update

The Turlock Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver who struck a 13-year-old boy and left him injured in the street.
The department updated the description of the car that was involved in the hit and run, saying it was a silver or gray 2006 Dodge Charger with 22-inch chrome wheels and a tinted rear window. The car also likely has damage to the right front wheel-well area, said Turlock Police Lt. Ron Reid.
The boy was walking his bicycle across N. Olive Avenue at Fullerton Drive on the night of Oct. 21 when he was struck by the Charger. He was dragged a short distance under the car and received several lacerations and other minor injuries, Reid said. He was treated for his injuries at a local hospital and released.
Anyone with information about the accident or the suspect is asked to contact Turlock Police Officer Nicole Rempfer at 668-5550 ext. 6766 or Crime Stoppers at 521-4636. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
