Homicide under investigation in Turlock

A fight Saturday night on the west side of Turlock resulted in a stabbing that claimed the life of a 31-year-old man.

The deceased was identified by the Turlock Police Department as Alfonso Serrato, 31, of Sacramento.

Around 8:20 p.m. Saturday the police department received a call of a physical fight in the 100 block of Farr Street.

Officers arrived on scene and located Serrato, who had received life-threatening stab wounds during the altercation. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
