Lathrop man linked to Turlock and other robberies

The Lathrop Police Services reported several pieces of evidence were discovered that links DeAndre Phillips to the string of robberies, including the revolver.

Law enforcement in San Joaquin County have arrested a Lathrop man suspected for a string of armed robberies, including some in Turlock.

DeAndre Phillips, 27, was arrested on suspicion of nine armed robberies at stores in Stockton, Manteca, Lathrop, French Camp, Tracy, and Turlock between Nov. 22 to Dec. 26, according to Lathrop Police Services, a division of the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.

Phillips would allegedly enter the businesses and pull out a .357 Magnum revolver from a black duffel bag slung around his shoulder. Phillips is accused of holding the victims at gunpoint while demanding cash, alcohol and cigars.

The Lathrop Police Services' investigation led to Phillips being identified as the prime suspect in the nine robberies. A search warrant was served at Phillips' Lathrop home on Monday. The Lathrop Police Services reported several pieces of evidence were discovered that links Phillips to the string of robberies, including the revolver.

Phillips was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for multiple counts of armed robbery. Other charges are forthcoming from other agencies.
