The Turlock man that the Turlock Police Department issued a silver alert for is back home safe and sound.

A silver alert was issued Monday for Carl Douglas Handy after he was last seen on Feb. 26.

The police department was notified around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday that Handy had returned home, said police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

Officers contacted Handy at his residence and confirmed that he was safe.  Handy returned to his home on his own, and there are no unusual circumstances involving his absence.
