Man shot at Turlock bar

A man was shot outside of Turlock’s Tamarindo bar on Sunday morning after a reported altercation.

A 25-year-old man and an unidentified Hispanic male were seen fighting outside of the S. First Street bar around 2 a.m., said Turlock Police Lt. Jeff Lopes.

After the fight, the 25 year old got into his truck at which point the unidentified man fired his gun at the man. The bullet went through the truck door and penetrated the truck owners’ leg.

Turlock Police received a 9-1-1 transfer call at 2:13 a.m. from the victim after he drove to Merced County. He was transported to Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Turlock Police Department at 668-5550.
