Two men were cut with a box cutter when a man attacked them inside a Turlock bar.

The victims’ injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to the Turlock Police Department.

The suspect, Guadalupe Munoz, 34, was apprehended shortly after the attack and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

The altercation transpired just before midnight on March 28 at Staley’s Club at 426 E. Main Street.

It’s unknown what prompted Munoz and two other men to start fighting with the victims.

During the fight Munoz allegedly pulled out a large-size box cutter and started slashing at the victims. One victim was cut on the forehead and neck and the other was cut on his forearm, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

Munoz and the two other men fled the area before officers arrived, but Munoz was spotted in the vicinity. He was taken into custody and positively identified by the two victims as the man who cut them.
