A speeding car that was stopped by the Turlock Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, turned out to be a man rushing himself to the hospital for a stab wound.
According to the victim’s statement, he was in the 200 block of West Avenue South around 2 a.m. Sunday, when he was confronted by six men.
The victim said he was “jumped for no reason” by the men, according to the police report.
During the attack the man was stabbed once in the lower right back and had been visibly battered about the head and face, Lt. Ron Reid said.
The investigation into the attack is ongoing. The victim was treated at a local hospital for the non-life threatening stab wound.
