Motorcyclist killed in Turlock collision

A collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle Monday evening in Turlock resulted in the death of a Denair man.

The deceased was identified as Rodolfo Fernandez, 54, of Denair.

Fernandez was driving a motorcycle westbound on Taylor Road around 8 p.m. Monday when he struck the back of a Mazda 3 that had just pulled out of the Taylor ER Veterinary Emergency Hospital.

The 33-year-old Ceres man driving the Mazda was not injured.

The Turlock Major Accident Investigation Team is conducting the probe into the fatality. At this time, it’s unknown how fast Fernandez was traveling.
