A Turlock man was carjacked early Thursday morning while outside a Main Street business.
The victim was not injured, but did lose his wallet and vehicle to the thief, according to the Turlock Police Department.
The victim, a 46-year-old man, was parked outside the Labor Ready office at 1310 W. Main Street around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, when an unknown man walked up to his vehicle and pointed a gun at him, said Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
The suspect ordered the man to leave the keys in the vehicle and toss out his wallet, Lewis said. The man complied and then the suspect ordered him to get out of the vehicle.
The suspect grabbed the man’s wallet and left in his vehicle.
The victim was unable to provide a description of the suspect because it was still dark outside. He told the officers he thought the suspect was wearing a mask.
The stolen vehicle is a 2001 Ford Windstar and is still missing.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Officer Michael Cervantez at 668-5550 ext. 6744.
