The Turlock Police Department is investigating an attempted homicide in which a woman was stabbed Friday night.
The suspect in the attack has been identified as Monique Garza, 31. Police are seeking Garza’s whereabouts.
A motive behind the attack has not been released.
Investigators have released very few details about the attack at this time because they do not want to compromise the investigation, according to the police department.
The woman’s injuries were reported as life-threatening. At the last report she was in stable condition at an area hospital.
The attack happened shortly after 8 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of High Street near the Westside Ministries, according to the police department.
