A man already on probation for evading a police officer led officers on a high-speed pursuit Friday morning that ended with his arrest.

The incident began shortly after 11:30 a.m. Friday when a Turlock Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Linwood Avenue and 9th Street. The driver, later identified as Andres Casillas, 21, failed to stop for the traffic enforcement and sped off.

The pursuit wound its way to W. Main Street and Commons, where Casillas decided to pull over when a motorcycle officer joined the chase.

During the pursuit, which reached speeds of more than 90 miles per hour, Casillas sped through several stop signs.

Casillas was already on probation for previous evading episodes. He also was driving on a suspended license. On Friday, he was arrested on suspicion of felony evading a police officer.
