The Turlock Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery at Donnelly Park, in which the perpetrators fired a gun as the victims ran from the scene.

The two victims reported the incident to the Turlock Police Department shortly before 11 p.m. Monday.

The pair were walking in Donnelly Park when they were confronted by a man and a woman in dark clothing. The would-be robbers demanded the pair hand over their personal property, but the two ran away from the suspects.

The two made it to safety without being injured. When reporting the incident to the police department, the pair stated the suspects shot off at least one round from a firearm as they ran away.

Turlock Police officers scoured the park and the area, but did not locate the suspects. The investigation remains ongoing.
