Search for groping suspect continues

The Turlock Police Department continues their search for the man wanted for assaulting three teenage girls walking to and from their school campuses Monday and Tuesday.

All three girls were able to escape from the suspect and provided similar descriptions of the assailant. All three assaults were reported in the vicinity of Christoffersen Parkway between McKenna Drive and Walnut Road. The suspect inappropriately touched each girl as he passed them on the sidewalk.

The suspect was described as a white male adult, possibly in his 20s. He stood about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 10 inches and weighed approximately between 150 to 170 pounds. He has light brown or reddish hair with a scruffy beard. On Monday the suspect was described as wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded zip-up sweatshirt. On Tuesday he was wearing tan pants, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses.

Investigators are working on compiling a sketch of the suspect.

No additional attacks have been reported since Tuesday morning. Police have received numerous sightings of individuals matching the suspect description, but none have resulted in an arrest. Extra patrols have been ongoing around the Walnut Elementary, Turlock Junior High and Pitman High school campuses.
