A 77-year-old woman was kept hostage by two men after she interrupted a burglary at her Turlock home.
The Turlock Police Department reported that the woman was not physically harmed during the ordeal, but was extremely frightened due to the threats the two men made to kill her if she contacted the police.
The woman had gone to the store and came back to her home in the 600 block of N. Soderquist Road around 1 p.m. Monday to find two Hispanic men burglarizing her home.
According to the police report, the two men grabbed the woman, tied her up, blindfolded her, and continued to rifle through her possessions. Several items were taken from the woman’s residence, the police department reported.
The woman was eventually able to untie herself after the men had left and went to her neighbor’s house for help.
There was no additional suspect information.
