The sentence hearing for a Turlock man convicted of torturing his former girlfriend, including keeping her locked in a dog cage for hours at a time, was postponed for a week. In April Frank Guerra IV, 22, entered a no contest plea to the charges of felony kidnapping, battery causing serious bodily injury, and battery on a spouse or cohabitant and was found guilty on all the charges. Guerra’s defense attorney requested the delay of a week so that a report from the probation department could be completed.
