A verbal argument between a man and two juveniles outside a Turlock store escalated into a physical assault and ended when the man was stabbed and the suspects fled the scene, the Turlock Police Department reported.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was stabbed multiple times in his back, according to the police department.

The stabbing happened at 7:04 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Wayside Drive.

The man and the two juveniles got into a verbal argument outside a business and it continued as the two juveniles got into a gray sedan.

The victim and a juvenile sitting in the back seat of the sedan got into a physical fight and as they were fighting another juvenile sitting in the front passenger seat reached through the open window and started stabbing the man in the back.

“The victim then separated himself from the moving vehicle and the vehicle drove away,” said Turlock Police spokesperson Deandra Wiley. “The juveniles exited the vehicle down the road and fled on foot eastbound on Wayside Drive.”

The first police officers to arrive found the victim and administered aid until emergency medical personnel arrived and transported him to a hospital for treatment.

The suspects are both described as juvenile males, one Hispanic and one white. The Hispanic juvenile male was wearing a red shirt, black pants, dark colored shoes and had dark hair.  The white juvenile male was wearing a black Kappa hoodie, gray camouflage pants, red shoes and had dark hair.
