A 33-year-old man was arrested on a charge of vandalism for breaking a window at a Turlock elementary school.

Ross Kelner, was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and disturbing the peace for the incident, the Turlock Police Department reported.

Around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday Kelnor was at Julien Elementary at 1924 E. Canal Dr. He believed the school staff knew the whereabouts of his son, which Kelnor does not have custody of, according to the police department.

The police report states Kelnor became angry with the staff and punched a window with his hand, causing it to shatter.

Staff contacted the Turlock Police Department, which happened to have officers next door at Turlock High. The officers were able to take Kelnor into custody outside of the school.
