A 16-year-old Fresno boy linked to a human trafficking investigation in Turlock, was arrested on Oct. 16.
The teenager, whose name was not released because of his age, is accused of trafficking a Turlock girl.
The Fresno Police Department was aware the teen was wanted by the Turlock Police Department and officers spotted him at the Fresno County Fair on Oct. 15 and took him into custody. He was booked into Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall for human trafficking of a minor by force, pimping, and pandering charges.
The Turlock Police Department listed signs for parents to be mindful of in regards to human trafficking:
• Has more than one cellphone;
• Unexplained large amounts of cash;
• Fresh tattoos in relation to names or human trafficking symbols, such as crowns;
• Fresh, unexplained injuries;
• Possession of high-end clothing not purchased by parents;
• Obvious changes of behavior; sudden detachment from friends and family.
