The Turlock Police Department is investigating a strong-armed robbery after a man fought with a loss prevention agent after stealing cosmetics from a Walgreens store.

Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday officers were dispatched to the Walgreens store at 1591 Geer Rd. for a report of a larceny.

According to the police report, the suspect came into the store with a Walgreens bag and put several cosmetic items in it before making a quick exit. The loss prevention agent confronted the thief in the parking lot and tried to detain him. The thief fought with the agent and a brief struggle ensued before the suspect got away.

The suspect was described as a white male adult in his 20s. He was wearing a brown baseball cap, a brown plaid shirt, black pants and red shoes. He was last seen running southbound on Geer Road.
