Three in custody after chase

An attempted stop on a truck with several vehicle code violations turned into a pursuit and search that ended with the arrest of two men.
Also arrested during the search was a 16-year-old boy, who upon seeing all the police, took off running because he had a warrant, Turlock Police Lt. Ron Reid said.
A Turlock police detective was in the area of West Main Street and West Avenue South around 2:30 p.m. Monday when he noticed three men in a truck behaving suspiciously. The truck had several vehicle code violations and the detective attempted to pull it over, which is when it sped off, Reid said.
The pursuit lasted about three minutes and went about one mile, according to Reid.
The three men abandoned the truck and took off on foot. A perimeter was established around the area and two of the suspects were quickly apprehended, Reid said.
Daniel Reagan, 22, of Turlock was driving the truck and he was charged with fleeing a peace officer and a parole violation. Kevin Burch, 25, of Modesto was charged with a parole violation. The third suspect was not caught.
As the police were searching the area, they saw a 16-year-old boy climb out a window and take off running. The juvenile was caught and Reid said officers determined he was not the third suspect who ran from the truck. He did, however, have a warrant for his arrest out of Juvenile Hall.
