Turlock intersection scene of drive-by shooting
TPD

The Turlock Police Department is investigating an apparent drive-by shooting that happened at a busy intersection Friday morning.

Investigators had very few leads in the case and at this time neither a suspect or victim has been located, said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

The shooting was reported at 9:25 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Tully and Fulkerth roads.

Witnesses to the incident reported someone in a white sedan fired at someone in a blue sedan before both vehicles fled the area.

The white sedan was last seen headed westbound on Fulkerth Road, while the blue sedan went eastbound in the westbound lane of Fulkerth Road, Parmley said.

Fulkerth Road was briefly closed down Friday morning as officers collected evidence.

Investigators are reviewing security cameras from around the area in attempt to identify the two parties involved in the shooting. At this time there is no information about what may have sparked the shooting.
