The Turlock teacher who is already facing sexual assault charges, was arrested again on Thursday on additional allegations that he sexually assaulted two others.

Daniel James Baudino, 38, was arrested Thursday afternoon at a residence in the 1000 block of Idaho Drive in Merced on additional sex crime charges.

Baudino was initially arrested for other sex crimes by Turlock Police detectives on Nov. 1. News of his arrest prompted two more individuals to come forward and speak with detectives.

“Both victims were prior students of Baudino’s, however, they were adults and no longer students at the time these crimes occurred, which was in 2015 and 2019,” said Turlock Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Parmley.

Baudino was brought to the Turlock Police Department and interviewed.  He was then transported and booked at the Stanislaus County Jail on three counts of sexual penetration with force and seven counts of oral copulation using force.

The initial investigation resulted in Baudino charged with five counts of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and four counts of oral copulation with a minor.

At the time of that alleged sexual assault, Baudino was the band teacher at Turlock High School. He was working as the band teacher at Turlock Junior High School and at Dennis Earl Elementary until his arrest on Nov. 1. As standard protocol, he was placed on paid administrative leave by Turlock Unified School District.

The confidential victim from the first case contacted the Turlock Police Department on Oct. 28, and reported the allegations against Baudino. The police department said the alleged sex crimes occurred between June 2016 to August 2016.

Detectives found digital evidence to support the initial charges during a search.

Although three victims have been located, detectives believe there are still possibly other victims who have yet to come forward.
