A call to  9-1-1 on Sunday morning from a youth stating their parents were dead, sent Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies to a home in the 1700 block of Fontana Ranch Road in Hughson. 

Upon arrival, deputies discovered two deceased adults, one man and one woman. They also found two children in the home and were able to take them to safety.

One of the adults was confirmed to be an employee of the sheriff’s office.

Due to the nature of the circumstances, the Modesto Police Department and the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office is taking over the investigation. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released at a later date.

“Please keep your thoughts with all of those affected by this tragic incident,” the sheriff’s office stated in a release.
