The Turlock man wanted in connection to a string of thefts at California State University, Stanislaus was apprehended Tuesday.
Scott Tackett, 22, was implicated in three burglaries at the university. Tackett was identified through video images from one of the burglary scenes and the search for him was covered in the media and soon led to a tip about his possible whereabouts.
The university police department reported they nabbed Tackett at an apartment complex located close to campus.
Tackett was booked into Stanislaus County Jail on a charge of second-degree burglary. He remains in custody in lieu of $15,000 bail, according to jail records.
