A 35-year-old woman was arrested by the Turlock Police Department for leaving her 15-month-old child alone in a car while she was shopping.

Guadalupe Padilla, 35, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor child endangerment on Dec. 10 for leaving her baby in her car while she went into Costco.

The unattended baby was noticed by a citizen who heard it crying in the car and then saw that the child was all alone.

TPD officers contacted Padilla after she returned to her car and was driving out of the parking lot.
