The Modesto/Stanislaus NAACP in conjunction with the Modesto Police Department, Stanislaus County Behavioral Health Services, Stanislaus County District Attorney, and the National Alliance for Mental Illness, will present a community information program about working with the mentally ill in a law enforcement capacity.
The free program is open to the public. It’s scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the King-Kennedy Memorial Center at 601 Martin Luther King Dr. in Modesto.
The program will include an overview of the law enforcement and mental health partnership in Stanislaus County.
