Turlock High School held their annual election convention Wednesday with students vying for student government positions and a representative seat on the Turlock Unified School District’s Board of Trustees. The event, which began in 1990, gives students a chance to participate in a simulated election process.
The candidates campaign and caucus among the 293 student delegates, as well as unveiling their video spots that highlight their qualifications for the office they seek.
The convention resulted I the election of Lucas Bartell as the school board representative; Taylor Askil and Adelae Fredeen as spirit leaders; Emily Kline as secretary; Andrew Gomez as treasurer; Robert Marchy as vice president; and Luke Reis as president.
