Merced College raises fees

Merced College is increasing their tuition fees to $26 per unit to bring them in line with the state budget requirements.
The newly signed state budget requires all community colleges raise their tuition fees by $6 per unit.
All students except those receiving the Board of Governor’s fee waiver will be required to pay the increase.
“Students who have already paid $20 per unit for classes prior to this budget decision will be responsible for added expense,” said Anne Newins, vice president for Student Services. “They are encouraged to pay the balance of fees before classes begin on August 17.”
For more information on the fee increase, contact the Student Fees office at 384-6216.
