MJC restarts search for new president

The Yosemite Community College District will be reopening the position announcement for Modesto Junior College president. The YCCD president selection committee had been considering four finalists for the position and public forums were held with the candidates.

According to Chancellor Joan Smith, “based on discussions with the board, we decided to restart the search process in spring 2012.”

Details for the next presidential search will be discussed at the board’s January meeting. Larry Calderon will continue as MJC’s interim president through Feb. 1, 2012.
