Earl Elementary students met their goal of filling 10 Turlock Together Barrels with food and toy donations meaning Principal Tami Truax and Assistant Principal Margaret Osmer had to live up to their promise to dress up like a hot dog and hamburger as a reward on Wednesday.  The foodie administrators congratulated the students in a morning assembly for their hard work and contribution to the less fortunate in town.

Stanislaus State ranked among nation’s best colleges

Stanislaus State’s Academic Senate voted in favor of a bill that would require students enrolled in all 23 California State University campuses to take one 3-credit unit of any qualifying Ethnic Studies course before they graduate (Journal file photo).
