Stanislaus State continues to garner recognition for its high-quality programs, affordability and service to students. Recently, The Hispanic Outlook on Education Magazine lauded the University for serving Hispanics’ educational needs.

The publication released its annual Top 100 Colleges and Universities for Hispanics  issue and ranked Stan State No. 50 in the nation for the number of bachelor’s degrees awarded to Hispanics and No. 84 for total enrollment of Hispanics at four-year universities.

The U.S. Department of Education certifies Stan State as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). HSIs must have an enrollment of at least 25 percent Hispanic students. The designation makes the University eligible for funding and grants from the U.S. departments of Education, Agriculture and Housing and Urban Development.

Established 30 years ago, Hispanic Outlook features Top 100 lists every year to chart the national progress of Hispanics in higher education.
