The THS marching band let the way as the Homecoming Parade proceeded through downtown Turlock on Friday afternoon.

In anticipation of the annual homecoming  football game against Atwater on Friday, Turlock High School students started celebrating on Monday with dress up days and the week culminated in a downtown parade on Friday.

Dress up day themes included “Welcome to the Jungle” and “America Day” with Friday as the classic "Blue and Gold" day.

Students filled the Bulldog Arena for the Homecoming Rally on Friday and cheered on their respective classes in activities including a student relay and an eating competition. The THS cheerleaders and "THS Idol" finalists also performed at the rally. Each Homecoming Queen candidate was introduced and students were left in anticipation of the winner, which was announced that evening at the homecoming game halftime.

The celebration moved to the streets as THS parents, siblings, and friends lined up in downtown Turlock to see the floats, band and Homecoming Queen candidates in the annual Homecoming Parade. The float theme was “Around the World” and the students did not fail to showcase a variety of countries. The seniors represented England, the juniors chose Italy, the sophomores showcased France, and the freshmen displayed Canadian pride.
