Citys email server goes down

The City of Turlock’s email system unexpectedly went down Monday, effectively halting all electronic communications for all the city departments.

The email system went down shortly around 5 p.m. Monday and effected all the city departments, including police, fire, recreation, administration, development services, and municipal services.

The 911 system, as well as the City’s telephone system and website all remained functioning.

The City is working with Microsoft Services to have the issue resolved and restore the email system. There is currently not an estimated time as to when the email server will be operational.

The City of Turlock’s monthly utility shut off date is scheduled for Wednesday, but since the server system is down the City stated the shut off service will be delayed and reviewed on a day to day basis.

Anyone needing to communicate with city staff should use the phone. All the city department telephone numbers are listed on the city’s website at http://www.cityofturlock.org.
