A limited number of tickets for President Barack Obama’s upcoming inauguration ceremony will be made available through the office of U.S. Rep. Jeff Denham (R – Turlock).

Constituents from across the newly redrawn 10th Congressional District of California have until 5 p.m. Dec. 19 to request tickets to the 57th Presidential Inauguration Ceremony on Jan. 21, 2013, which will be held at the U.S. Capitol.

Such standing-room tickets to the inauguration are only made available through Members of Congress. Not all requests for tickets will be granted; only a limited number of spaces are available.

Those receiving tickets will be notified by Dec. 21. Tickets are non-transferrable, and must be picked up by the requesting constituent with photo identification in-hand.

Requests must be made through Denham’s website, at http://denham.house.gov/presidential-inauguration-ticket-request/

Schools and organizations interested in participating in the Presidential Inaugural Parade may apply online at http://2103inaugurationparade.army.mil/

Inaugural balls, galas and parties require separate tickets. Those tickets are not yet available, but will be made so through the website http://inaugural.senate.gov/ in the coming days.

Tickets are not required to view the swearing-in ceremonies from the National Mall.
