TAKE PRIDE IN TURLOCK FREE DISPOSAL EVENT

Take Pride in Turlock, the City of Turlock’s annual free disposal event, will take place on May 13 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., however, vehicles arriving after 12:45 p.m. will not be allowed entry. The event will be held at Turlock Scavenger, located at 1100 S. Walnut Rd.

To take advantage of this free trash disposal day opportunity, you must provide your April 2017 City of Turlock utility bill (TID, PG&E or phone bills do not qualify), and a picture ID with a Turlock address.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS:

· No more than one load of household debris per current utility bill.

· No vehicle loads larger than a pick-up truck will be accepted.

· No more than nine tires per load.

· No sealed gas cylinders (propane, oxygen, etc.).

· No treated wood.

· No tires from tire generating businesses will be accepted.

Turlock Recycling will be open throughout the duration of the event for beverage container recycling reimbursement at 1020 S. Walnut Rd.

Stanislaus County Department of Environmental Resources will also be accepting Household Hazardous Waste on May 12 and 13th from 8 a.m. to noon at 901 S. Walnut Rd.

Water Use Penalty now in effect: City of Turlock water customers who use over 40,000 gallons a month will be charged a $25 Excessive Water Use Penalty. Penalties will commence with June billing.
